Educational background

She got her bachelor and master degrees in law in 1994 and 1997 from Northeast Normal University, and Ph. D degree in law in 2006 from Xiamen University.

Professor & Doctor Xiuli Han currently works at Law School of Xiamen University and International Economic Law Institute of Xiamen University. She got her bachelor and master degrees in law in 1994 and 1997 from Northeast Normal University, and Ph. D degree in law in 2006 from Xiamen University. She had worked at Zhangjiagang Institute of Jiangsu Province from 1997 to 2003, and became a faculty of Xiamen University Law School in 2006. She was promoted to Ph. D supervisor in 2012 and professor in 2013. She has successfully supervised some master and Ph. D students majoring in international economic law and private international law. She did one-year research as a New York University Law School Hauser Global Law Program Research Fellow(2008-2009), three-month visiting scholar at Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law(2012.6-9)and one month visiting scholar at Stellenbosch University of South Africa (2013.3). She has hosted several research projects funded by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education, and National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science. She was listed on the Program for New Century Outstanding Talents in University in 2011. She has Membership of International Law Association, and is on the Committee of Chinese Society of International Economic Law and Chinese Society of International Law. She serves as executive editor of Journal of International Economic Law (Chinese) since 2011 to present.

Her researches focus mostly on international economic law and private international law, especially in international economic dispute settlement. Her current teaching includes International Economic Law, Private International Law, International Institutions and Environmental Protection, Foreign-related Economic Law and Policy of the P. R. China, and Legal English.
